Snow!

Last Sunday, we arrived home from Columbia about 30 minutes before the snow started. By Monday morning, when it stopped, we had about 6 inches. This picture was taken Monday morning around 10am from the back porch. The backyard was about covered except for a few spots under our oak tree. The bare spots got bigger as the snow began falling off the trees. Praise God, Daryl made it to and from work safely, and we had a safe trip to Columbia on Tuesday. When Daryl went to work on Sunday at 10pm, the interstate had not been "plowed."
We ventured out around 2pm. By then, there were more bare spots. Little Daryl had more fun pushing his toy around the yard. I decided to wait until next year (when he is older and will enjoy the snow) to try to build a snowman.

Our front yard. Sorry about the weird angle, I was holding a squirming 14-month old at the time.

A bush in our backyard

I thought this ice cycle on the clothesline was cool (no pun intended).
More pictures later.
